Leonard Cohen didn`t cover the song he composed it. It was originally
released on his 1984 studio album Various Positions. Why would someone as famous as Leonard Cohen even want to appear on that show?

Leonard Cohen actually WROTE the song and it took him two years to do it! There have been numerous versions of it sung by numerous singers. Alexandra didn’t choose it – Simon Cowell did. It matters not because she has smashed all records by selling the most on the first day of release, even more than Leona Lewis did!
